From harvest to shipment

2 to 3 weeks from harvest through preparation to being ready for loading.Pinkish-green flower buds, hand-picked before they open.

1. Stemming

   Clove heads separated from the cluster stems by hand

2. Drying

   4 to 7 days in open sun until crisp and dark brown

3. Cleaning

   Air-separated to remove stems, leaves and headless cloves

4. Testing

   Checked against a moisture ceiling of around 12%

5. Shipment

   Sealed into woven polypropylene bags

This is the preparation cycle, not your delivery lead time.Where the grade and quantity you need is already prepared and available from export stock, shipment is far quicker. Where it depends on a forthcoming harvest, we confirm the timeframe once the crop is in. Tell us your timing at enquiry stage and we will be straight with you about what is realistic.

Quality and documentation

Lots are laboratory tested by our sourcing partners before packing. Each consignment carries a lot-specific certificate of analysis.
